You Are Sew Cute! - Really Reasonable Ribbon Guest Spot

It's time for the final card for my November Guest Spot at Really Reasonable Ribbon!
This time I decided to bring a little late Sunshine into your life with this cute Stampabilities character!

Challenges:
Creative Inspirations Paint - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes (3 entries only)
Stampin For The Weekend - Texture (1 entry only)

Card Recipe:
Image - Lucy Watering Her Flowers by Stampabilities
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - Country Drive by Echo Park
Border Punch - Vintage Doily by Martha Stewart
Card Candi - Vintage Honey
Ribbons - Brown with White Stitched Edge, Gingham Multi Orange, White with Grey Dots , Sheer Box Pleats White and Swirl Orgnaza in Moss

I love how the two ribbons look when layered over each other.

I know it's a corny sentiment but I loved the ribbons so much that I wanted them to be the focus of the card and so I created and cut spools to display them.
It has been a fun month making all these ribbon inspired creations and I hope you have enjoyed seeing them as much as I have making them :)

Magnolia-Licious Blog Hop - Interactive Holiday Tags

Today is a super special day at both Magnolia-Licious Challenge and Magnolia-Licious Highlites!
We have come together as one big team for a great Christmas Blog Hop that will last all the way through to December 29th!
The theme of our hop is "Interactive Gift Tags" and there are some fabulous ideas on teams blogs! Each tag does something other than be a tag, some more, some have hidden parts (mine does!), lots of ideas to make sure you go all the way through the hop.
You should have come to me from Norma, if you didn't then please go back to Magnolia-Licious Highlites so that you don't miss a single spot on the hop.
Also at the beginning you will have found the rules of the game and a reminder is that you need to count up the number of....

Candy Canes in the MAIN PROJECT PHOTO!
So here is that photo, how many can you see?

Count carefully and save that number with the rest of the team projects and when you get to the end of the hop you can send in your answer! (all the details are on the Magnolia-Licious Highlites blog)

Here you can see the "interactive" part of my tag, the panel with Edwin on opens up and there is an original poem underneath.

This is the back for your special message.

Here is a close up of the Celebratory Edwin!

Now you seen my tag and counted my Candy Canes HOP ON TO Angela to see her fabulous creation!

A personal note from me

I wanted to let you know if things are a little quiet here over the next week it is that I fly out to England Friday evening for my Nana's funeral.
I will be gone for a week and it is bittersweet as I love going home but this time it's for a reason I wanted to just not happen. But my beautiful Nana was 96 and led a fabulous and very full life and I will remember her as the lady I saw just a couple of months ago when we had the great fortune to all be together for 4 weeks.

Love you Nana and always will.

Giving Thanks Mini Album with Tutorial

For my project for the Scor-Pal meets Hampton Arts week I decided to make an album based on one I saw a friend of mine make. She had taken a class and I only got a quick look and so I had to find my way around making it and I hope you like it!

Project Recipe:
Stamps - Best Thing is Each Other, Bless Beyond Measure and Too Much of a Good Thing all by Hampton Arts
Inks - Blackbird Chalk, Popcorn Chalk and Dye Ink Seattle Sky all by Hampton Arts
Papers and Accents - Graphic 45
Tools - Scor-Pal, Scor-Mat and Circle Punch
Adhesive - Scor-Tape

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 12" by 9". Line up the long side at the top fence of the Scor-Pal and score at 5 3/4" and 6 1/4" and burnish the score lines.

I cut the calendar accents from the paper and inked each edge with the Seattle Sky ink

I used the Blackbird to stamp the sentiments and inked the edges again

For the inserts for the album you need to start with card stock measuring 8" by 5 1/2". Line up the 5 1/2" side to the top fence of the Scor-Pal and score at 1/2". Rotate to the longer 8" side and score at 2 1/4" and 5 3/4". Burnish all score lines.

Use a circle punch to make a semicircle in the center of the top side (as in the photo) to form a finger hold. Create the "gift card envelope" using Scor-Tape
for a firm hold.

Complete for 12 envelopes (one for each month) and decorate as desired.

Add Scor-Tape to the bottom edges (under the score line) so you can attach the envelopes to the album (six on each side of the score lines)

After attaching the envelopes to the cover add patterned paper to cover the inside cover over the ends as in the photo.

Smooth the patterned paper to seal in the ends of the envelopes.

This is how the envelopes look when attached on both sides.

Decorate the front and make a band to hold the album closed.

This is how it looks inside when complete.

Each envelope holds a calendar insert and it would be a great gift.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Anything But a Card - Holidays (I chose Thanksgiving)
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes (3 entries only)
Dream Valley - Anything Goes (3 entries only)
Allsorts - It;s a Gift
Di's Digis - Fall Colors
